    Non-pharmaceutical and special-shape tablet tooling

Parle Elizabeth has grown across different markets, offering the best solutions to its customers. This led us to a segment that opened new opportunities and allowed us to offer the best tooling for it — the non-pharmaceutical segment.

We aim to provide our valued customers with the best tablet tooling solutions, especially for the non-pharmaceutical segment, where a huge variety of shapes and sizes is found. This makes the task more complex, but does not stop us from giving our customers the best for mass production.

We manufacture special tooling for tablet presses that supports practically any tableting machine on today’s market. From unique sizes to special shapes, our team of experts will design custom punches and dies to your requirements. This special-shape tablet tooling is made from top-quality material that withstands high compression forces.

    Coatings

Special tooling coatings help eliminate common problems such as sticking. Because tablet production parameters vary — including environmental conditions and differences in the formulations being compressed — the performance of these coatings may differ depending on the application.

Our experienced technical team works on this continuously and offers several types of coatings:

    • Hard chrome
    • Chromium nitride
    • Titanium nitride
    • Multilayer chromium nitride
    • ENI coating
  • Special tablet tooling

    Special tablet tooling

Special tablet tooling has a unique design

We offer tableting tooling solutions in which each press station can form more than one tablet. The number of tips depends on the punch type and the tablet size and shape.

More than one tip is placed on a single punch, increasing output and productivity.

Our latest computerised manufacturing equipment provides the precision required for this type of tooling, ensuring full alignment of components and interchangeability.

Our multi-tip tooling consists of a body, a cup and a tip. This compact design suits a variety of tablet presses for compressing micro-tablets from 1.8 to 4.00 mm, and can also be used for tablets from 4 mm to 10 mm. The tooling is user-friendly to install and set up on the tablet press.

Standard punches and dies for tablets

All our premium-grade punches and dies are made for high-speed tablet presses, for durability and productivity.

    EU & TSM specifications

Parle Elizabeth complies with both standards for B, D, BB and BBS tooling configurations used on today’s international market: the American standard, known as TSM, and the European standard, known as EU or Euro Norm.
The TSM and EU tooling standards were established in the industry to provide a framework that protects companies investing in tooling while preserving established processes and procedures. TSM and EU configurations are very similar but are not interchangeable.

The best steel for a wide range of applications

There are thousands of steel grades, and only a few of them meet the demanding design and functional requirements of tableting. The chemical composition of the steel is only one part of the equation. Material selection should always be considered together with the tablet design to produce a robust punch.
