Thanks to their simplicity, economy and reliability, dosing pumps (from well-known brands such as Bausch+Ströbel, BOSCH, ROTA and COMAS) are used in many processes: water treatment and purification, water conditioning, cooling and recirculating water systems, and dosing of various liquids, chemical reagents and preparations in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, perfume, cosmetics and other industries.

Dosing pumps work on the plunger-pair principle. On the suction stroke, product enters the cylinder through the inlet (suction) port. On the return stroke, product is pushed out through the outlet and fed directly to filling.
Dosing pump design:
- monoblock pump body (machined from a single piece of metal); pumps with removable ports can also be made;
- coated piston rod;
- pump fork (removable or integral with the body);
- plunger or piston.

The materials pumps are made from (PP, PVDF, PVC, AISI steel) resist most chemical reagents and allow dosing of concentrated acids and alkalis and complex organic and inorganic compounds. This is especially important in pharmaceutical production: the material does not react with the medicine, so the product stays pure.
Dosing pump output can be adjusted by changing the stroke length and frequency, giving the most accurate dosing possible even with constantly changing pressure.
Dosing pumps are used by leading manufacturers on many brands of filling and packaging machines in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industries: Bausch+Ströbel, BOSCH, COMAS, Groninger, IMA, MAR, MARCHESINI, OPTIMA, ROTA, ROMACO.
