Purpose
Used for dispersing and mixing chemical and biological products, lubricating oils, all kinds of resins and production materials (various pastes and liquids: adhesives, pesticides, etc.).
Design
By design, reactors are divided into open type with a flat lid, open flanged type and closed type.
By pressure: atmospheric, negative pressure, positive pressure, and positive-and-negative pressure reactors.
By heating and cooling: with a heating or cooling jacket, or without a jacket.
Materials: carbon manganese steel, stainless steel, nickel alloy and other composite materials.
Applications
A reactor is an atmospheric-pressure vessel used in the petroleum, chemical, rubber, pesticide, dye, pharmaceutical, food and other industries.
AT Engineering supplies spare parts for reactors of various types:
- custom stainless steel or plastic agitators;
- mechanical seals;
- gear motors;
- electric drives;
- SIP cleaning units;
- level sensors;
- clamp connections;
- washing heads;
- reactor lids;
- sight glasses;
- samplers;
- clamp gaskets in various materials;
- product transfer hoses (including clamp or DIN-coupling crimped);
- automation systems.
AT Engineering specialists can also provide:
- software;
- reactor modernisation.
Operation
Driven by the drive unit, the agitator rotates and creates several types of mixing — shear and diffusion.
The condenser unit (distillation column, vertical condensers, horizontal condensers, water separator) can be used with a vacuum system to collect or discharge solvents evaporated during heating.
The heating system includes a water heater, oil heater, boiler, etc.
The cooling system includes water, tanks, cooling towers, chillers, etc.
